Scholarships
We present need-based scholarships to Telik Junior School to local students at the start of each school year which is in January of each year.
Scholarships cover the school fees for the year which help pay the operating expenses of the school, including student meals while at school.

Why
With no free public education in Uganda, parents struggle to send their children to school. Building Schools in Africa built a new school in an impoverished village of eastern Uganda in order to offer quality education in the area.

2024 Scholarship to Telik Junior School: $130

Special Projects
We participate in needed special projects throughout the year. Some of these are to maintain Telik Jr. School and some are to outreach to the community. They are mostly one-time projects.
2024 Projects
Replacing & Repairing Playground Equipment:
The school’s playground equipment has been repaired many times, but is no longer safe. We would like to begin replacing pieces one at a time as financially possible.
Total cost for all pieces & installation: $1500.
Balance needed: $1075.
Replace nursery chairs:
After finishing the funds for new playground equipment, we will look to replace the plastic nursery chairs.
Development:
We continually make improvements to the school. If you would like to give to our general development fund, we will use the funds as needed.

Our American partners participate as volunteers (and donors themselves) so ALL of your donation is used in Uganda, to build community projects using Ugandan supplies and hiring local labor.
